Since 1923, the Waynesboro Generals have been the heart and soul of baseball in Waynesboro. Starting as a Class D minor league team in the Valley Baseball League, the league shook things up in 1961 by getting NCAA approval, letting college athletes join the fun.The Generals have racked up six Valley League playoff championships—1984, 1988, 1998, 2007, 2013, and 2014—making them one of the league’s most decorated teams. But it's not just about the games. The Generals and their awesome staff go all out for the community. They host summer league workshops and aim to hit a grand slam with 1,000 hours of community service every season.Come game day at Prosperity Home Mortgage Park, the stands are buzzing with excitement.
